In 2005, after four years of earning a BSc in Molecular Biology & Genetics (minor in English Literature) and then four more years of courses from the Institute of Children’s Literature, I launched Mountainview Literary Agency. This was the beginning of my journey as both a literary agent and a writer, driven by a deep desire to help aspiring authors like you get their work published. Back then, self-publishing was frowned upon, and the submission process to traditional publishers was (and still is) daunting. Yet, through determination and personalized pitches, I managed to make great, successful connections and even collaborated with my father on a series titled “The Chronicles of Burning Candles.”
Fast forward to 2022, after a challenging time during COVID, I rebranded Mountainview into OMERA—a platform where writers can truly find their voices and be heard. OMERA signifies a new cycle, a rebirth, much like my journey in the literary world, and now, more than ever, indie and self-published authors have the tools and opportunities to shine.
